GE-12 part 2
Saya ada di Kelantan 4 hari lepas. Pagi ini, (Ahad) baru sampai balik
ke Shah Alam. Nanti balik pulak untuk ngundi. Insyaallah.
Jika dibandingkan PRU12 ngan PRU11, PRU12 ni agak lembab. From all
sides yang bertanding. Hujan menambahkan lagi kelembapannya.
Saya pusing, Pasir Puteh, Bachok dan Kota Bharu. Bachok nampak
paling lebat ngan bunting/poster etc (tempat pengarah pilihanraya....
dan bakal menteri besar, jika menang BN). Di Kota Bharu kurang sikit.
Pasir Puteh lagi kurang.
This time around, BN is experiencing a much better confidence
berbanding dengan PRU11 2004. The very active role played by both the
Presiden and Timbalan Presiden UMNO adds to the zest.
BTW, I believe the real workout will begin today (Sunday), a week to
the polls (March 8). I thought earlier on that, the lengthened period of
campaigning will tire out the ones with less stamina (read...cash),
what more if distributed too early, and it seems to be true.
I observed that most campaign strategy for the first few days was based on meeting the
voters directly. Anyone waited for any time later than Monday would
not get as much new 'comers'.
Real campaigning is when you go directly to the
voters. It's easy when you meet your own 'people'. It's hard when
you meet your 'opposition'. But to seasoned campaigners, they know
how to 'enter' through the right door....and win their votes. No need
for hard campaigning. Really! Don't debate, you are not gonna get any vote that way.
Even Obama vs Hallary in the US is going that way - emotional gateway!
War, race and religion issues have surfaced!
When too many campaigners go to the same voter, he/she may get
confused. These people may get more confused later with more news or other
campaign strategies used by the competing parties.
And many are out to confuse the fish before the bait is lowered...
Those yg guna emosi untuk buat decision, usually rarely change their
decision, unless something more emotional disturb their conscience.
Those yg guna akal, lebih mudah untuk diubah pendirian jika emosi
mereka terganggu.
Last minute emotional strategies would sway the fence-sitters.
So, look out.
Abezi.
